No Stimulus!!!

Thursday night, President Obama reminded Democrats in Congress in a speech that he won the election and that fact gives him a mandate to solve our financial crisis. He urged Congress to listen to him rather than listen to his constituency and pass the Stimulus Package.

Friday, it appears that three liberal Republicans caved based on a few adjustments in the bill and promised to vote for the bill giving the Democrats enough votes. However, I do not think this is over. According to Senators they are being besieged by calls, emails, and petitions against the stimulus.

I know that the best cure for our current situation is simply to allow our businesses the time to climb out, themselves. I also know that the Democrats cannot ignore the opportunity to bring European type socialism to the United States. I believe we need to resist this at all costs.

What to do:

At the very least, go to this website and sign the petition. There is even a place to add your comment if you wish. NO STIMULUS !!!

First let me say this, I am opposed to any government bailout money/stimulus plan.

Why, Truth Seeker, is it okay of your bank to take $35 million in bailout funds? (Or was it $135 million, I can't remember) Why is it that I have to pay for your bad loans?

Considering that you are the person in charge of lending, before you pull the speck out some one else's eye; perhaps you should consider pulling the log out of yours.

I believe the only reason you are against this particular government intervention is because you will not personally benefit from it. I sure hope your office is nice, because that kind of thing is never going to happen again.

Remember, the truth will set you free.

Will you leave this comment up, or pull it down? I wonder. . .

I do not understand why people are having diffculty understanding. The number of unemployed people (11.6 million) and the unemployment rate (7.6 percent) rose in January. Over the past 12 months, the number of unemployed persons has increased by 4.1 million. The Department of Labor reported today that nonfarm payroll employment fell sharply in January (-598,000) and the unemployment rate rose from 7.2 to 7.6 percent. Payroll employment has declined by 3.6 million since the start of the recession in December 2007, .... most of this mess happening only in past three months! And some wonder Obama is pushing so hard for a stimulus package. Is the Herbert Hoover approach, do nothing, all we need, leading us to a twelve year depression ??
